Working with Ceramics.

At Lagoudi, there is the Ceramic Workshop of Manty Hatziyiakumi.
Manty Hatziyiakoumi has been working with ceramics since 1980.
During recent years she has been using the RAKU technique, which is an old Japanese skill.
The artist uses three elements of nature: Earth - Water - Fire.
Over the last few years she has been working with the LUSTER technique.

Manty Hatziyiakumi, has been awarded three times from the Ministry of Culture & Sciences for her work at the "Pan Hellenic Exhibition of Ceramics".

Earth, Water, Fire...

The combination of earth with fire, the creation of an art object of clay remind us, even today, of a magic and sacred ceremony.
